It is my firm belief that we have all heard of the magical plant Aloe Vera before. There’s a high chance that most, if not all of us have used it at some point in our lives. Yet some may wonder, what is Aloe Vera and what makes it so unique?

Well, Aloe Vera is an incredibly medicinal plant that belongs to the Liliaceae family (lily). It is packed with over 200 active components. They include: amino acids, minerals, enzymes, vitamins, and polysaccharide just to name a few.

These components and their numerous uses are what make Aloe Vera — Aloe Vera. In fact, different parts of the plant play different roles in improving the health of your body. Aloe Vera is suitable for both internal and external applications. Meaning, you can actually ingest or apply it topically.

One particular part of Aloe Vera that a lot of people use is the inner section of the leaf. When you slice open an Aloe Vera leaf, you come across a clear gel-like substance. This gel is known to play a very significant role in hair moisturizing. Another interesting fact about the gel is that it’s actually made up of 99% water.
